‘You Can Make It’, lo nuevo de Will Smith: “En algunos de mis momentos más oscuros, la música siempre ha estado ahí para mí”

Parece que va quedando atrás aquel bofetón de Will Smith a Chris Rock en los Oscar de 2022. Le acarreó uno de los momentos más oscuros de su carrera, pero parece que empieza a ver la luz y gran parte se lo debe a la música.

Ahora mismo, atraviesa un buen momento profesional. Además de presentar nueva entrega de Dos policías rebeldes, también ha lanzado nuevo tema que ha presentado en los BET Awards que cada año premian lo mejor de la música negra.

"En algunos de mis momentos más oscuros, la música siempre ha estado ahí para mí, para levantarme y ayudarme a crecer. Mi humilde deseo poder hacer lo mismo por ti y brindarte toda la alegría y la luz que mereces", decía en sus redes sociales cuando avanzaba parte de su nueva melodía junto al piano.

Actuación en directo

Ahora hemos podido verle junto a Chandler Moore y el Sunday Servicie Choir en la primera presentación en directo del tema. Smith aparecía en medio de un anillo de fuego, detrás tenía el coro de la Iglesia y rapeaba su himno de esperanza para cuando te sientes hundido.

Donald Glover se subía al escenario para bromear y asegurar que “tengo más Grammy que Will Smith, lo cual no tiene ningún sentido. Y tengo la misma cantidad de BET Awards que Samm Smith. Yo y Sam Smith estamos mano a mano en la televisión de entretenimiento negro”,

Por cierto, que la gala de premios ha supuesto una decepción para Drake que, pese a partir como favorito con 7 nominaciones se ha ido de vacío y ha visto como Usher se llevaba todos los honores. Actuar en la Super Bowl y petarlo en Las Vegas le habrá ayudado a este renacer.

Pero vamos a quedarnos con esa actuación de Will Smith que lleva un tiempo preparando este regreso a la música. El pasado abril ya le pudimos ver en una aparición sorpresa en el escenario de J Balvin en el Festival de Coachella donde cantó Men in Black.

Además, fue el último artista confirmado por Ibai Llanos para La Velada IV por lo que suponemos que aprovechará este momento para presentar en directo en nuestro país este nuevo tema.
