Si nos pilla el fin del mundo que sea con Miley Cyrus: vídeo y letra de 'End of the world'

El próximo 30 de mayo Miley Cyrus pondrá a la venta su nueva aventura musical llamada End of the world. Un trabajo del que ha hablado en las últimas semanas reconociendo que mezcla moda y música y que se ha inspirado en los sonidos de The Wall de Pink Floyd. End of the world, el primer sencillo, es la viva prueba de ello con un sonido ochentero potentísimo y un videoclip cargado de glamour.

La solista estadounidense ha confirmado que esta es su primera tarjeta de presentación oficial del álbum aunque en realidad en días anteriores hemos podido escuchar Prelude y Something beautiful, la canción que da nombre a su nuevo disco de estudio y que está repleta de ese rock psicodélico que ha inspirado el elepé.

Viendo la propuesta estética, visual y sonora, tenemos claro que si en algún momento nos tiene que pillar el fin del mundo nos gustaría que lo hiciera junto a Miley Cyrus. La solista está en su mejor momento musical, probando sus límites sonoros y dotando a todas sus propuestas visuales de una madurez y una sensualidad alejadas de cualquier rasgo polémico o provocativo.

Salvando las distancias, Something beautiful podría ser lo que Plastic hearts fue para su inspiración en la música disco. Aquellas propuestas triunfales como Midnight sky, Plastic Hearts, Prisoner... aunque quizá con un mayor toque de sofisticación. Habrá que esperar para ver dónde nos conduce el nuevo álbum visual de Miley Cyrus cuyos primeros pasos nos están deslumbrando.

El videoclip de End of the World destaca por su estética retro y glamorosa. En él, Miley aparece bailando de manera provocativa frente a una banda, mientras se contonea en el suelo con un llamativo vestido verde de lentejuelas. La producción visual mezcla elementos de nostalgia y deseo que complementa perfectamente la letra de la canción. Porque como la intérprete ha contado en más de una ocasión este álbum está inspirado en sus experiencias personales y en la búsqueda del arte en momentos de caos. Con frases como "hagamos como si no fuera el fin del mundo" queda claro a qué momento vital y personal se refiere en el tema.
