Rupert Grint, obsesionado con un mundo lleno de Ed Sheeran en el vídeo de 'A Little More'

Catorce años después de protagonizar el videoclip de Lego House, Rupert Grint vuelve a meterse en la piel del fan obsesionado de Ed Sheeran en el nuevo y surrealista videoclip de A Little More, el último single del artista británico incluido en su disco Play. El clip vuelve a unir al solista con el intérprete de Harry Potter en un vídeo que está cargado de guiños visuales a la carrera musical de Sheeran, incluyendo referencias a hits tan icónicos como Shape of You o Thinking Out Loud.

La historia comienza con Grint saliendo de prisión tras cumplir una condena de 14 años, en una clara continuación del personaje que interpretó hace década y media. En su camino hacia la libertad comienza a ver al cantante en todas partes: en sesiones de terapia, en reuniones de "stalkers anónimos" y hasta en su propia boda.

El videoclip juega con el delirio y la obsesión, mostrando a Grint atrapado en un mundo donde Sheeran aparece como una figura omnipresente. En una escena que recuerda al sensual entrenamiento de Shape of You, Grint se encuentra en un gimnasio donde todos los entrenadores tienen el rostro de Sheeran. Más adelante, en una coreografía romántica que evoca Thinking Out Loud, el actor baila con su pareja —interpretada por Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones) aunque en realidad no es otro que... sí, Ed Sheeran.

La canción, de tono blues y con tintes de rap, fue escrita por Sheeran junto al rapero británico Dave, Blake Slatkin, Cirkut y Johnny McDaid. La letra parece hablar de una relación rota, con frases como "life got better when I lost you / but every day I hate you just a little more" que refuerzan el tono agridulce y humorístico del vídeo.

Sheeran ha descrito el videoclip como "muy optimista, divertido, pero repleto de rabia y totalmente loco". En redes sociales, el artista compartió un adelanto en el que se le ve junto a Grint cantando el estribillo, bromeando sobre su parecido físico y su historia compartida. "Tuve esta idea salvaje después de escribir la canción, y afortunadamente Rupert estaba listo para ello" dijo el británico.

A Little More forma parte del próximo álbum de Sheeran, titulado Play, que verá la luz el 12 de septiembre. El disco incluirá también los temas Azizam, Old Phone y Sapphire, este último con una versión especial en hindi y punjabi.
