El regreso por todo lo alto de Blackpink a los escenarios de todo el mundo (incluyendo el rumor de un nuevo álbum de estudio) no significa que sus componentes vayan a dejar atrás sus facetas en solitario. Y el más claro ejemplo lo hemos tenido con Lisa que acaba de lanzar Dream, su nuevo vídeo junto a un famoso actor.
El clip está protagonizado por el popular intérprete nipón Kentaro Sakaguchi que da vida a su media naranja amorosa en los más de 5 minutos de duración de esta propuesta audiovisual que narra una historia de amor y pérdida a través de los recuerdos de su personaje.
Es una reflexión nostálgica sobre una relación pasada que aún vive en los sueños de la protagonista. La letra está impregnada de melancolía, con referencias a una noche en Tokio que marcó el fin de la relación, y un deseo de volver a tiempos más felices, como el año 2019.
Compuesta por Lisa junto a Ali Tamposi, Felicia Ferraro, Her0ism y Shintaro Yasuda fue producida por Shintaro Yasuda y Her0ism. En su concepción, la componente de Blackpink tuvo claro que quería ser la guinda del disco, es decir, la canción que cerrara su álbum en solitario Alter Ego.
La lucha entre el amor y el desamor queda reflejada de forma brillante en esta especie de corto con el que seguro que Lisa va a recibir múltiples nominaciones. De hecho, su estreno llega apenas unos días después de su nominación en los VMAs por el videoclip de Born again que compartió con Raye y Doja Cat.
